Motorcycle sponsorship increases Ride Aid fundraising potential
With just three weeks to go to an ambitious ride from Newcastle to John O' Groats via Lands End, Newcastle Harley-Davidson and Buell® have received a sizeable boost of £1,500 towards the fundraising total of £25,000.
New management at the Tyneside dealership are working in conjunction with their local Harley Owners Group (HOG) Chapter to raise the money to pay for a scinti scanner machine for Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI).
The machine will minimise the extent of surgery required by many breast cancer patients receiving treatment at the RVI. Business partners David Hall and Paul O Callahan, who now run Newcastle Harley-Davidson and Buell® will lead the ride-out aboard Buell® motorcycles at the end of October.
It is now confirmed that associated firm - DigitalLANE (www.digitallane.co.uk) - will have its branding on one of the machines taking part in the challenge after pledging £1,500 sponsorship to the cause. The company, run by Paul Bryce, is a provider of automotive online marketing and responsible for the Newcastle Harley-Davidson and Buell® web presence.

The dealership is now seeking six other companies or organisations to sponsor the remaining Buell® motorcycles. A special mention should also go to Harley-Davidson finance, who provides Motorcycle Finance to Newcastle Harley-Davidson; they have pledged £1,000 towards the present total, which stands at more than £3,000. However, with just three weeks to go, everybody involved is urging people to support the cause by purchasing raffle tickets at the dealership or by donating via the justgiving page www.justgiving.com/Newcastle-Ride-Aid/.
